How to read these figures.
All three statistics come from a 2024 peer-reviewed analysis of the 2022 National Health Interview Survey. The study analyzed responses from 27,651 adults and reports past-year massage therapy use among U.S. adults.
The National Health Interview Survey is conducted by the National Center for Health Statistics and is designed to represent the U.S. civilian, noninstitutionalized population. These percentages describe reported use, not treatment outcomes or medical advice.
